Digital tools, not digital detours.

Web apps and internal tools from Stuttgart — for businesses that want to simplify their workflow, not complicate it.

Start a project

Eventually you reach the point where the spreadsheet causes more problems than it solves: three versions are circulating by email, nobody knows which one is current, and the most important note is on a sticky note that’s currently nowhere to be found. This is exactly where custom software comes in — a tool that adapts to your workflow instead of forcing your workflow into someone else’s template.

Since 2016, I’ve been building web apps and internal tools from Stuttgart for small and mid-sized businesses — from order overviews to appointment scheduling to searchable databases. Have a web app built with me, and you don’t get generic software with two hundred features you’ll never use twelve of — you get an application built around your actual working day. That makes it faster to use, easier to learn, and ultimately cheaper day to day.

That this isn’t just theory shows in my own projects: TW Vertragsmanager is a self-built desktop application for quotes, invoices and contracts — built for German accounting compliance (GoBD) and deliberately offline. And familienzeit-stuttgart.de runs as a web app with map search, showing what modern web technology can do without a page builder: fast, responsive, low-barrier and GDPR-friendly with no tracking cookies.

02 — Custom Software Solutions

What’s included

Web apps, internal tools and digital processes — built to fit instead of off-the-shelf, tailored to how you actually work.

  • Web apps & internal tools
  • Digital processes & automation
  • Practical, tailored implementation
  • Custom features instead of generic ones

How your project runs

  1. STEP 1 Free Initial Consultation

You describe where things get stuck in your day-to-day — by phone or in person. I listen, ask questions, and tell you honestly whether custom software is worth it for your case, or whether a simpler solution exists.

  2. STEP 2 Concept & Fixed Price

Together we define what the tool needs to do — and just as importantly, what it deliberately shouldn’t. You get a clear concept and a binding fixed price before a single line of code is written.

  3. STEP 3 Development in Stages

I build in manageable steps and show you early versions. That way your feedback shapes the tool before it grows in the wrong direction.

  4. STEP 4 Testing in the Real World

Before launch, you work with real data and real workflows in the new tool. Whatever gets in the way is adjusted — not argued away.

  5. STEP 5 Handover & Support

You get a walkthrough in plain language and software that runs without me. If new needs come up later, I’m still reachable.

Software projects thrive on short distances: one on-site visit where I see your actual workflow in person replaces ten video calls. From my office in Stuttgart I can reach you quickly — in the city center as well as the region around Esslingen, Ludwigsburg or Böblingen. And if a question comes up after handover, your contact isn’t an anonymous hotline — just a short drive away.

Frequently asked questions

What does custom software cost, and how long does development take?

Both depend on scope: how many features does the tool need, how many people will use it, does existing data need to be migrated or systems connected? A lean internal tool comes together much faster than a web app with full user management. We clarify the requirements in a free initial conversation — after that you get a binding fixed price and a realistic timeline, with no hidden items.

Is custom software even worth it for a small business?

Especially then. Large companies can afford their own IT departments — small businesses instead lose time every day to duplicate entry, email attachments and hunting for the current version. A tailored tool doesn’t have to be an enterprise solution: often a focused application that cleanly handles exactly one workflow is enough to save real time day to day.

Web app or desktop program — what fits us better?

That depends on how you work. A web app runs in the browser, needs no installation, and suits multiple users in different locations. A desktop program wins out when data should deliberately stay local, or work happens offline — my own TW Vertragsmanager is offline desktop software for exactly that reason. We work out which fits you in the initial conversation.

What happens to our existing spreadsheets?

They don’t get thrown away. Existing data can usually be migrated and brought into a clean structure — so you’re not starting from zero. And if colleagues or your accountant still need spreadsheets, an export feature can be built in.

Who takes care of the software after handover?

First: you get an application that runs stably and that you can operate without me — including a walkthrough. If new questions or requests come up later, I’m still your point of contact: for adjustments, extensions, or just a quick call.

What about data protection and GDPR?

Internal tools often handle sensitive data, so I take this seriously. I build GDPR-friendly: no tracking cookies, locally embedded fonts, and hosting where it’s clear exactly where your data lives. For pure desktop applications, the data stays on your own machine regardless.

Projects in this area

2026 · Web Design · Web App · Development Familienzeit Stuttgart — Family Portal

For Familienzeit Stuttgart, I designed, built and developed a non-commercial family portal: a searchable collection of day-trip destinations, playgrounds, museums and activities in and around Stuttgart — with a map view, radius search, filters and a favorites list. The goal was a practical, friendly and bright tool that makes content easy to find and inspires shared time together. Made by families, for families.

2026 · UI Design · Software Development · Concept TW Vertragsmanager — Desktop Software

A self-built desktop application for quotes, invoices, contracts and bookkeeping — fully offline and GDPR-compliant. Built for the German market with GoBD-compliant invoicing, e-invoicing (XRechnung/ZUGFeRD, PDF/A-3), German tax reporting (EÜR & VAT return preparation for ELSTER), dunning, project and client management, plus a template and pricing-calculation system. Concept, interface design and development all from one hand.
