Gut feeling is fine. Findings are better.
The website audit is a 100-point analysis of your website: technology, design, content and visibility — objectively assessed, clearly reported, clearly prioritized. So you know where your site stands before you invest.
Start a projectYou sense your website isn’t performing the way it could — but what’s the cause? Load time? Design? Text nobody actually finds? Until someone answers that clearly, every investment is a guessing game. The website audit ends the guessing: a structured 100-point analysis that checks your site exactly where it counts — technology, design, content and visibility.
The result isn’t a data dump — it’s a report you can understand without an IT degree. Every finding is put in context: what’s critical, what’s cosmetic, what delivers a lot of impact for little effort? You get prioritized, actionable recommendations instead of a list full of jargon — and afterward you know exactly where your website stands and what makes sense to do next.
The audit is deliberately designed as a starting point: an objective assessment before you spend money on your website. It’s not a hidden sales pitch — if your site is in good shape, the report says so. And if it isn’t, you’ll know exactly why, in black and white. As a designer, I’ve been building websites and custom software from Stuttgart since 2016; that practical experience shapes every single item on the checklist.

Handover
The report is yours. Whether you implement the recommendations yourself, hand them to an in-house team, or continue with me — that’s entirely your call.
A website audit could, in theory, be written up from anywhere — the results conversation is a different matter. In Stuttgart, we can sit at the same table when needed, go through the report point by point, and clear up questions directly instead of trading emails back and forth. Short distances apply to businesses from Esslingen, Ludwigsburg and Böblingen too. And working locally means knowing the local market — and the search terms your customers actually use to find you.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website audit cost, and how long does it take?
The price depends on scope: how big is your website, how many page types are there, which features — such as a shop, forms, or a booking system — should be checked too? After a free initial conversation, you get a fixed-price offer with a binding delivery date. No open-ended hourly billing, no surprises.
Will I understand the report without a technical background?
Yes — that’s exactly what it’s built for. Every checked item is explained in plain language: what was checked, what the result means, and why it matters to you. Where technical terms are unavoidable, they’re translated. You should be able to make decisions after reading it — not go and google things.
What exactly does the website audit check?
The 100 checkpoints are spread across four areas: technology and performance (including load time, mobile display, security), design and user guidance (readability, orientation, accessibility), content (text, structure, currency), and visibility (findability in search engines, basic technical SEO). I also look at privacy items such as cookies and externally loaded fonts.
Do you need access to my website for this?
Usually not. Most checkpoints can be analyzed from the outside — exactly the way your visitors experience the site. A look inside your CMS can be helpful for individual questions, but it’s optional and gets agreed beforehand.
Do I have to commission a redesign with you afterward?
No. The report is deliberately written so any provider can work with it — including your existing agency or in-house IT. If you’d like to tackle the implementation with me, the audit is the ideal foundation, for example for a homepage redesign. But it creates no obligation whatsoever.
Is the audit worth it for a small website too?
Especially then. On a small website, a handful of pages decide whether visitors turn into inquiries — so every weak point weighs more heavily. And because the scope of the check reflects the size of the offer, the audit for a small site stays correspondingly manageable.
