Old doesn’t have to mean outdated. It can mean better.

Homepage redesign for companies whose website should finally start pulling its weight again.

Start a project

Sooner or later it happens: the website that served you well a few years ago starts to feel dated. It loads slowly, falls apart on a phone, the system behind it no longer gets updates — and inquiries barely come through it anymore. A homepage redesign starts exactly there: your existing website gets brought up to date, technically and visually, without you having to start from zero.

A relaunch doesn’t mean everything has to go. Proven content, text and images are kept and only reworked where it genuinely helps. Most importantly, your Google rankings are preserved: every old URL gets cleanly moved to the new structure with a 301 redirect, so visitors and search engines keep finding your site. This is exactly where many relaunches go wrong — which is why the redirect plan is part of the project from day one for me, not an afterthought.

I build the new website individually — no page builder, no off-the-shelf theme. The result: fast load times, clean behavior on every device, a built-in accessibility panel, and a GDPR-friendly setup with no tracking cookies and locally hosted fonts. I’ve been designing and building websites from Stuttgart since 2016 — I know the typical legacy issues, and how to get rid of them.

And if the initial conversation shows your site doesn’t need a redesign but a genuine fresh start, I’ll tell you so honestly — in which case web design from the ground up is the better path.

How your project runs

  1. STEP 1 Initial Consultation & Review

We look at your current website together: what works, what’s holding it back, what’s missing? The conversation is free, no obligation — afterwards you’ll get a fixed-price offer.

  2. STEP 2 Analysis & Concept

I review the technology, content and visibility of your existing site and define what gets kept, reworked or replaced — including a redirect plan for every old URL.

  3. STEP 3 Design & Development

The new website is built individually: modern layout, clear user guidance, fast load times — responsive, low-barrier, and without a page builder.

  4. STEP 4 Content & Migration

Text, images and existing content move over to the new structure. You see interim versions and give feedback before anything goes live.

  5. STEP 5 Launch & Handover

Redirects go live, the new website goes online — tested on every device. On request, I also take on ongoing maintenance and updates afterward.

A redesign starts with an honest look at what’s already there — and that’s easier to do together at a screen than over an email back-and-forth. As a designer based in Stuttgart, you can reach me in person: short distances, fixed appointments, quick decisions when it comes to the details of migrating content. That applies to businesses in Stuttgart itself as well as in Esslingen, Ludwigsburg or Böblingen — and if you’d rather sort everything out digitally, you get the same direct line via video call.

Frequently asked questions

What does a homepage redesign cost, and how long does it take?

Both depend on the state of your existing site: how many subpages are there, which features should stay or get added, how much content gets carried over? We clarify the scope in a free initial conversation — after that you’ll get a fixed-price offer with a realistic timeline. So you know exactly where you stand before the project even starts.

Will I lose my Google rankings because of the relaunch?

Not if the migration is planned properly. Every old URL is redirected to the matching new page with a 301 redirect; page titles and descriptions are carried over or specifically improved. The redirect plan is a fixed part of every redesign I do — because this is exactly where badly executed relaunches lose their visibility.

Can my existing text and images be reused?

Yes. What already works stays — it would be wasteful to throw out content that’s doing its job. I reuse your text and images and rework them where it’s worth it: outdated details, overly long paragraphs, missing calls to action. You have a say in every piece of content.

Does my old website stay online while the work happens?

Yes. The new website is built in parallel, in a protected environment, while your current site keeps running as usual. Only once everything has been checked and approved is the switch made — your visitors never see the work in progress.

How do I know whether I need a redesign or a completely new website?

As a rule of thumb: if the content and structure are basically sound, a redesign is the faster, cheaper route. If the site is beyond technical saving, or your offering has fundamentally changed, a full rebuild is worth it. In the initial conversation, I’ll tell you honestly which path makes sense for your site — even if it’s the smaller job.

Is the new website privacy-friendly and low-barrier?

Yes. My websites run without tracking cookies, fonts are hosted locally instead of loaded from external servers, and a built-in accessibility panel lets visitors adjust contrast, font size and more themselves. That makes the site more accessible — and saves you the hassle of a cookie banner.
