Strong in the game. Online, on the bench?
Full training hall. Empty website?
Get in touch — no strings attachedFull training hall. Empty website? A club lives on people who get involved, donate and volunteer. But anyone who doesn't know you yet searches online first: parents looking for a club for their child, newcomers to Stuttgart, prospective members, sponsors and volunteers. If they then find only an outdated site, a dead Facebook group, or nothing at all, the interest is usually already gone. Most clubs don't earn money in the classic sense, they live on membership dues, donations, grants and a good reputation in the region. That's exactly what your website is the first point of contact for.
A club website needs to do things different from a company site: current dates and training times, contacts for each department, a join or trial-training button that people actually use, and content you can maintain yourselves without calling someone every time. Because volunteers change in a club, and the knowledge shouldn't disappear with one person. I build your site individually, with no page builder, fast-loading and just as usable on a phone as on the clubhouse computer, with an accessibility panel so older members and people with disabilities can follow along too. With no tracking cookies and locally embedded fonts, the whole thing stays GDPR-friendly, which matters especially for club data and photos of members. And you have one steady point of contact instead of a hotline.
Sound familiar?
-
The website depends on the last engaged volunteer. Dates and news have sat unchanged online for two seasons, because the one person who knew how it worked left the board and nobody can get the login.
-
Unusable on mobile. Parents check training times and directions on the go on a smartphone, but the old site is tiny, takes forever to load, and the most important link hides somewhere at the bottom.
-
Important info is scattered. Dates in a WhatsApp group, registration as a PDF by email, photos on Facebook. Anyone new who wants to join doesn't know where to start.
-
Data protection is a constant headache. Embedded maps, like buttons and external fonts quietly pull data, and member photos quickly become sensitive, with nobody in the club keeping track.
What your new website will do
-
Found in Stuttgart and the region. Anyone searching for your sport, your neighborhood, or your club name lands with you instead of a dead listing.
-
More trial sessions and sign-ups. A clear path from first click to registration, visible on any device, instead of a hidden contact form.
-
Maintainable yourselves, even after the next board change. You update dates, news and contacts with no technical training, and the knowledge stays in the club.
-
Usable for everyone. Through the accessibility panel, older members and people with disabilities reach your information with no trouble.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website for our club cost?
That depends on scope: a compact site with dates, departments and contact is cheaper than an extensive site with many departments, an event calendar and extra features. Clubs usually work with tight budgets, so I honestly match the scope to your budget and tell you upfront what's possible. You get a fixed price and no hidden follow-up costs from page-builder subscriptions.
Can we maintain dates and news ourselves later?
Yes, and that's especially important for clubs. You get a solution where you keep training times, events, news and contacts current yourself, with no programming knowledge. That way the site stays maintained even when the volunteer role changes hands.
What happens to the website when the board changes?
It belongs to the club, not to me. Login credentials, content and structure are cleanly documented and handoverable, so a new board or a new webmaster can carry on with no trouble. That's exactly the handover problem I want to spare you.
Are we allowed to show photos of our members and events?
Generally yes, but photos of people, especially children, need consent. I build the site data-protection-friendly, with no tracking cookies and local fonts, and give you guidance on what to watch for with member photos. Obtaining the legal consent itself is up to the club.
We're not based right in central Stuttgart, is that a problem?
No. I work with clubs from Stuttgart and the whole region. A lot can be settled by phone and email, and for an in-person meeting I'm generally easy to reach. You have one steady point of contact throughout, not rotating staff.
