Sharp in the shot. Blurry online?
Razor-sharp photos. A blurry website?
Get in touch — no strings attachedYou live on a first impression. A couple, a family, or a marketing department looks at your photos and decides in seconds whether you're the right fit. Those seconds happen almost always on a website today, before anyone picks up the phone or fills out an inquiry form. If your shots are brilliant but the site lags, displays small, or falls apart on mobile, you're giving away jobs before the conversation even starts.
Photographers in Stuttgart and the region rarely work in just one field: weddings, portraits, business, product, events, sometimes all at once. Customers today search on mobile, compare several portfolios side by side, and want to instantly see what you can do and how to reach you. A photographer's website therefore needs to do two things at once: show your work large and undisturbed, and enable inquiries with no detours.
I build exactly these kinds of sites: custom instead of a page builder, fast despite many images, clean on every device, and low-barrier thanks to a built-in accessibility panel. With no tracking cookies and locally embedded fonts, the whole thing stays GDPR-friendly. And you have one steady point of contact instead of a ticket queue.
Sound familiar?
-
Large image files slow the site down. A portfolio full of high-resolution photos often loads painfully slowly. Anyone waiting three seconds for the first image is usually already at the next photographer.
-
Page-builder galleries show your work too small. Cropped previews, fixed frames and narrow columns take away exactly what convinces people: the individual image at full size.
-
The layout breaks on mobile. Most of your inquiries come from a smartphone, but that's exactly where the gallery, contact button and text shift or become nearly impossible to tap.
-
The inquiry hides. If prospects have to hunt for a phone number, availability or an inquiry form, they bounce instead of booking.
What your new website will do
-
Your images at the center. Large-format galleries that let your shots make an impact, instead of forcing them into someone else's grid.
-
Fast despite many photos. Images are optimized for the web and loaded as needed, so the site opens quickly with no visible loss in quality.
-
Convincing on every device. Whether smartphone, tablet or large monitor, portfolio, text and contact sit cleanly and are usable with a thumb.
-
Inquiries with no detours. A clear path from the first image to a booking, with a clearly visible inquiry form and contact option.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website for photographers cost?
That depends on scope: how many pages and galleries, whether a dedicated booking or inquiry form gets added, and how many images are included. I look at your requirements and give you a fixed price upfront, so you're not calculating in the dark. Flat numbers with no look at your project would be dishonest.
Doesn't a site with that many images take forever to load?
Not if it's built right. Your photos are optimized for the web at appropriate sizes, and galleries only load images once they're needed. That keeps the site fast even though you're showing a lot, and the image quality still looks high-end.
Do my images keep their quality, and can I update them myself?
Yes. The photos are embedded so they stay sharp and vivid. On request I set the site up so you can add new series yourself, with no programming knowledge. If you'd rather hand that off, I take over the maintenance.
Will I be found in Stuttgart and the region?
I build the site technically clean and with the right regional references, so search engines can classify what you stand for and where you work. Honestly, though, for photographers a lot also gets decided through referrals and social media. The website is where all of that comes together and builds trust.
Do I need a cookie banner for my photos?
Usually not with how I build things: I avoid tracking cookies and embed fonts locally instead of loading them from external servers. As soon as you want something like embedded videos or maps, we discuss that beforehand and solve it in a GDPR-friendly way.
